Read theory Summarising Slides

Learning goal: I am learning how to summarise and to identify the story I am reading.
Success Criteria: I can summarise what I see and read. I can identify what I am reading and the words I have trouble in.
This is about summarising what you have read and what you have answered wrong.

Silent reading challenge cards

Mrs Middleton has told us to do a challenge card slide. She sent us a PDF with challenge cards that has different thing for you to do.

My Typing Test

Learning goal:I am practising my typing so I can be quicker and more accurate.
Success Criteria:This will help me finish my work faster.

On Monday my results was 57 WPM because I am focusing on what I am typing.

On Friday my results was 51 WPM I am still working on typing the right words.

Readtheory QAR slides

I have been working on these read theory slides. It's about finding what type of question it is. I have not finished the whole story cause I had to do lots of screenshots of the question.

A Girl in the bottle

One day in the afternoon there was a little 5 year old girl walking along the beach, cause they were in a family vacation for the holidays. She was minding her own business. Then suddenly she heard a genie in a bottle saying, "hey little girl come over here". The girl said "why are you stuck in a bottle"? The genie said, "it's a long story, now come over here and let me free". The little girl did what he asked but questioned the genie a 2nd time. "Why are you stuck in the bottle". The genie said, "we have no time for this"!. The little girl removed the bottle cap off and set the genie free. The genie said, "at last i'm free". The little girl was laughing at his reaction. But she was shrinking and shrinking until she went in the bottle. She tried screaming and crying out for help but there was nobody.

Winter learning journey Activity 1: Reading a library book

I have read meet the Wizard sons. Its about the Wizard sons making a barbecue for the whole of freak street they had lots of problems with there spells especially Wyman.

I have read with a tiny expression.

I got some words incorrect.

Sometimes going back and forth.

My reading was not bad and was not excellent it was good but with a few mistakes.

I need to work on having a quick think of the word that I don't know. It is not just looking at it the word not knowing what it is and just saying the word you don't know.

Winter learning journey day 2:Library book

This is Emily from Amulet she is my favourite character cause she gets these amazing powerful powers from her amulet. Her amulet is so powerful that it can actually kill somebody. So there is a person talking in the amulet to show her directions to where to go and not to go. In the Amulet book Emily is always the lucky one not her brother Navin he doesn't get luck he only gets lucky when he was being a pilot in the plane and the robot house building.

This is what happened

Emily's mum has been captured by a squid.

Emily, Navin and Misket is going out to rescue their mother, they were going through a tunnel then a big wave of tentacles came out of these holes. They saw the squid. They crashed then there was this elf that destroyed the squid. He wanted to kill his father by using Emily's power cause it was very strong. She nearly killed him but they went back home with their mother. She was poisoned. They created a giant robot out of there house it was cool. To go get a antidote to cure her.

My Basic Facts Test

Learning goal:I am testing how quickly I can remember my Basic Facts.
Success criteria:I need to remember my Basic Facts because they are the knowledge I need to help me with strategies to solve Maths problems.

On last Monday my results was 38 out of 40 cause i am concentrating on the answer.

On Thursday my results is 38 out of 40 I need to improve a better score so I can be better.

I need work on my fractions and percentages.

My Eggshell experiment

Room 5 had to do an egg experiment to see what is the difference on what will your eggshell will be like. Your eggshell will be your tooth. We are testing our eggshell to see if there is any decay using liquids
