My Typing Test

Learning goal: I am practicing my typing so I can be quicker and more accurate.

Success Criteria: This will help me finish my work faster.

On Monday my results were 66 WPM because I was concentrating on getting a faster WPM.

On Friday my results were 57 WPM. Because my fingers won't type the right key.

My times tables test

Learning goal: We are learning to know our basic facts and if we know them we try to get a faster time.
Success Criteria: I can have a faster time on my basic facts test.

On last Thursday my results were 99 out of 100 because I have pressed the wrong key. Because I thought 18 divided by 6 was 6 times 3 equals 18.

On Thursday my results were 99 out of 100. Because I accidentally did 73 as the answer of 9 times 8.
 

Solving maths problems using stratigies

Learning goal: We are learning to use the part unknown strategy to compare amounts.
I have been learning about my fractions. I have been explaining how I got the answer. Not to be a showoff, but it was quite easy. All you have to do is divide the denominator to the whole then times the answer with the numerator. Then there is your answer.

I have done 5 texts in my read theory slides. I have been improving from grade 4 to grade 6 I am really proud of my read theory.

Learning goal: I am learning how to summarise and to identify the story I am reading.
Success Criteria: I can summarise what I see and read. I can identify what I am reading and the words I have trouble in.

Mrs Middleton has set us work that we have to fill in. We have to get a 4 digit number and do activity's with your 4 digit number you will see what I have done in the slides.

My Handwriting

Learning goal:We are practising writing neatly by hand

We are learning to copy accurately by checking and rechecking our work.

Mrs Middleton has set us a handwriting practise after Lunch time.

The title is called The Un-Washable Truck. I need to write my hand writing more clearer. I have made some mistakes and a little wrong punctuation.

Success Criteria:I can show in my presentation some of the different ways my number can be recorded.

My favourite way is making up a word problem.

This is what happened

There was this mysterious mine call the Dutchman mine. It all started when the Spanish came in to America in 1540. For gold they found a cave but they had to hurry because there was people hunting for them. So they hurried and when they saw the unbelievable gold they took as much as they can but they were to slow, The hunters caught them and they got killed, but some they survived but they vanished or never have been seen before.
